HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO MOVE?
The cost of hiring professional movers can vary based on several factors, such as the size and weight of your belongings, the number of specialty or heavy items , the distance between your current and new locations, the time and labor required, and any special handling or packing services you may need. Are you insured?
Yes, we are insured and our movers are covered on their job-sites. Should any of your belongings be lost or damaged during the move as a result mover’s negligence they will be covered under our basic coverage, which provides 60 cents per pound based on the item lost or damaged. Please note that our basic coverage does not recognize the monetary value of individual belongings.
What form of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, debit, credit cards and Interac email money transfers. Please note a 3.5% processing fee applies with most cards. For long-distance moves, 50% of the payment is required upon pick up, and the remaining balance is due upon delivery.
How early should I schedule my long distance move?
The earlier you schedule your long-distance move, the better your chances of landing at a booking time that is convenient to your needs. During peak months such as June, July, and August, for example, we are frequently booked to capacity.
Do you provide boxes?
As a part of our standard service we will always provide next boxes for your move: 3 wardrobe boxes, 3 TV boxes, 3 boxes for mirrors or picture frames. If you are interested in buying moving boxes, you can check out moving supplies here or speak with our relocation consultant. The sizes vary.
Will you help me to pack my items?
We offer reasonably priced packing services if you are unable to pack your items on your own. Should you require our packing services, however, we recommend that you arrange for them prior to your moving date to allow for sufficient planning. The time our movers spend packing your items will be billed based on our standard hourly rate.
Is there anything the crew cannot move?
We unfortunately cannot move propane tanks, firearms, or flammable items. All liquids being moved should be closed and boxed.
